We have recognized God's call to share His love and have responded through missional service with Mennonite Central Committee in Guatemala.

We recognize that God has gone before them and is preparing the way. God is already working in Guatemala, and we are called to live among His people there.

We will serve as Resettlement Facilitators assisting families, mostly K'ekchi' landless farmers, as they resettle in the Betel community near San Pedro Carcha. Betel, the community where they will live is situated in a cloud forest (a wet, high altitude, mountain forest). This is a new community begun by Fundameno, the social justice arm of the K'ekchi' Mennonite Church of Guatemala. Fundameno's goals include building bridges of understanding between the community and the K'ekchi' Mennonite Church.

The Mennonite Central Committee Mission Statement:
MCC seeks to demonstrate God's love by working among people suffering from poverty, conflict, oppression and natural disaster. MCC serves as a channel for interchange by building mutually transformative relationships. MCC strives for peace, justice and the dignity of all people by sharing our experiences, resources and faith in Jesus Christ.
