Encourage your workers in service to share their experiences (good and painful) with the congregation, family and circle of friends.

Include MCC service workers from your church in your congregation's budget. Send the contribution to MCC, designated for the living costs of the workers you are supporting.

Support a worker's involvements by sending a contribution to MCC designated for the country where the worker serves.

Remember birthdays, anniversaries, send church bulletins, periodicals and Sunday School materials.

Check with the worker before mailing "care packages;" most overseas locations require an exorbitant fee for the worker to receive it due to customs and currency exchange complications.

Plan special occasions for the home congregation to learn about worker's assignment

Provide subscriptions to magazines, provessional journals, etc (keep in mind MCC provides subscriptions to weekly news and church magazines)

Provide continuing updates in worker's career field

Watch for job and education possibilities during person's last year of service; send necessary information/applications

Show interest and be informed of worker's experiences while on assignment

Encourage worker to find local people with whome to relax, work, confide, worship and pray.
